Natural Healing
Non-Clinical: These services do not fall under any clinical licensing and are considered holistic.
Natural healing is a holistic approach to wellness that focuses on the body’s innate ability to heal itself. Instead of solely relying on external interventions, natural healing emphasizes restoring balance within the mind, body, and spirit. This approach often integrates ancient wisdom with modern insights, recognizing that physical health is deeply connected to emotional, mental, and energetic well-being.
One of the fundamental principles of natural healing is that the body is not just a collection of symptoms but a dynamic system that can regulate, repair, and restore itself when given the right conditions. By reducing stress, nourishing the body with proper food and movement, and aligning with natural rhythms, individuals can cultivate resilience and promote long-term well-being.
Natural healing does not dismiss conventional medicine but works alongside it, offering complementary methods that support the healing process. Whether through energy work, mindfulness practices, or working with natural elements like crystals and herbs, this approach empowers individuals to actively participate in their own healing journey.
Natural Healing is a separate initiative from clinical counseling and does not involve medical or clinical mental health treatment. It is not a insurance billable service.
Curanderismo: Ancestral Healing for Mind, Body, Spirit & Soul
Curanderismo is an Indigenous healing tradition practiced across Mexico, Central America, and the Southwestern United States. Rooted in land-based wisdom, community care, and generations of ancestral knowledge, Curanderismo approaches healing as a holistic, relational, and deeply spiritual process. As a descendant of the Otomí people and a practitioner of energy medicine, ceremony, and somatic healing, Dominique offers Curanderismo sessions that honor traditional teachings while integrating trauma-informed and ethically grounded care.
What Is Curanderismo?
Curanderismo is a traditional system of healing that views wellness as a balance between the physical body, the emotional self, the spirit, and the environment. Curanderas/os use a variety of earth-based and energetic modalities to help restore harmony when imbalance, trauma, or spiritual disconnection has occurred.
Key principles include:
– Healing as balance, not fixing
– The interconnection of body, spirit, energy, land, and lineage
– Relational accountability to community and ancestors
– A holistic view of health that honors intuition and sacred knowing
Curanderismo is not a replacement for medical or psychiatric care—but it is a powerful complement to support emotional, spiritual, and energetic restoration.
What Curanderismo Can Support
Curanderismo can help you navigate a wide range of emotional, energetic, and spiritual concerns, including:

– Want to reconnect with body, intuition, ancestry, or purpose
– Seek energetic reset, clarity, or alignment
– Feel called to Indigenous or earth-based healing practices

Energy healing is based on the understanding that everything in the universe, including our bodies, is composed of energy. When this energy is flowing harmoniously, we experience good health and emotional balance. However, disruptions in this flow—caused by stress, trauma, or environmental factors—can lead to discomfort, disease, and emotional distress. Energy healing techniques work to remove these blockages and restore balance.
Reiki: A Gentle Healing Modality
Reiki is a well-known form of energy healing that originated in Japan. It is a gentle, hands-on (or hands-near) technique that channels universal life force energy into the recipient’s body. Reiki practitioners act as conduits, allowing healing energy to flow where it is needed most. This practice is known to promote deep relaxation, stress reduction, and overall well-being.
During a Reiki session, a person may experience warmth, tingling sensations, or emotional releases, all of which indicate energy movement. While Reiki is often used to complement medical treatments, it can also be an effective standalone practice for emotional and spiritual healing.
The chakra system is an ancient model of energy flow within the body, originating from Eastern traditions. Chakras are energy centers that regulate physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. When these energy centers are balanced and open, we feel vibrant, emotionally stable, and aligned with our purpose. However, blockages in the chakras can lead to discomfort, illness, or emotional imbalances.
The Seven Chakras
Crown Chakra (Sahasrara)

At the top of the head, it connects us to spiritual awareness and enlightenment.
Third Eye Chakra (Ajna)

Found between the eyebrows, it is linked to intuition, perception, and higher consciousness.
Throat Chakra (Vishuddha)

Located at the throat, it regulates communication, self-expression, and truth.
Heart Chakra (Anahata)

At the center of the chest, it governs love, compassion, and relationships.
Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura)

Located in the stomach area, it controls confidence, personal power, and motivation.
Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana)

Found just below the navel, it influences creativity, pleasure, and emotional expression.
Root Chakra (Muladhara)

Located at the base of the spine, it governs stability, security, and our connection to the earth.
Each chakra can become overactive, underactive, or blocked due to stress, trauma, or negative thought patterns. Techniques like meditation, sound healing, affirmations, essential oils, and crystals can help restore balance. For example, meditating on a specific chakra’s color or using healing stones associated with each chakra can enhance energy flow and alignment.
Crystals have been used for centuries in healing practices, revered for their ability to hold and transmit energy. Each crystal has unique properties that can support emotional, physical, and spiritual healing. While science has yet to fully explain how crystals work, many people experience profound shifts when working with them.
How Crystals Work
Crystals are believed to influence the body’s energy field by emitting stable vibrations that help realign imbalances. Some stones absorb negative energy, while others amplify positive vibrations. Whether used in meditation, placed in a healing environment, or worn as jewelry, crystals can serve as powerful tools for self-care and transformation.
Common Healing Crystals and Their Uses
- Clear Quartz – Known as the “master healer,” it amplifies energy and promotes clarity.
- Amethyst – A stone of calm and intuition, it aids in relaxation and spiritual awareness.
- Rose Quartz – The stone of love, it encourages self-compassion and emotional healing.
- Black Tourmaline – Provides protection from negative energies and promotes grounding.
- Citrine – Associated with joy and abundance, it enhances confidence and positivity.
Other Natural Elements in Healing
In addition to crystals, elements like water, plants, and the earth itself play significant roles in natural healing. Water is cleansing and rejuvenating, whether through drinking, bathing, or listening to its sound. Plants and herbs offer medicinal and energetic properties that support well-being, while connecting with nature through grounding practices can restore balance and vitality.
Somatic healing recognizes that emotions and trauma are not just stored in the mind but also in the body. When we experience stress or trauma, our nervous system may hold onto that energy, manifesting as physical tension, chronic pain, or emotional blocks. By engaging the body in the healing process, we can release stored trauma and restore a sense of safety and balance.
Body Awareness & Emotional Release
Somatic therapy involves tuning into physical sensations, breath patterns, and bodily responses to emotions. Rather than analyzing a traumatic experience mentally, somatic approaches focus on how the body is holding onto the experience and encourage gentle release.
Key Somatic Healing Techniques
- Body Scanning – A mindfulness practice where individuals bring awareness to different parts of their body, noticing tension or discomfort and consciously releasing it.
- Somatic Experiencing – A therapeutic approach that helps individuals gently process and discharge trauma held in the nervous system.
- Grounding Exercises – Simple practices like deep breathing, placing hands on the heart, or pressing feet into the ground to create a sense of stability and safety.
By listening to the body and allowing it to process emotions in a nonverbal way, somatic healing can help individuals feel more present, empowered, and at peace.
